Buck must race against time to rescue a kidnapped girl from an orbiting gambling paradise run by a shady futuristic gangster named Velosi. Armat (Ceasar Romero), an unscrupulous 25th Century businessman, pleads with Dr. Huer to save Falina, one of his employees who has fallen into Velosi's hands. Falina has information which, if used by Velosi, could ruin Armat. Huer dispatches Buck to Sinaloa, a den of pleasure and vice, where he soon discovers that rescuing Falina is one thing getting her away from Velosi's out of this world version of Las Vegas may become his most perilous challenge.

On an orbiting satellite called Musicworld the rock group, Andromeda, prepares for a concert which will be beamed to the youth of the entire galaxy. The unsuspecting band is unaware that their evil manager, Mangros (Jerry Orbach), is using the broadcast to control the minds of billions of youngsters causing them to riot and destroy their planets.
When Buck infiltrates Musicworld, Mangros tries to hypnotize one of Buck's assistants into killing him before he can stop the deadly performance.

A mysterious ship carrying a dead crew crashes into Space Station Theta. Buck and Col. Wilma Deering (Erin Gray) are forced to remain on the quarantined station while Dr. Ecbar determines what caused the strange deaths.
Suddenly, people on board the station are dying and Buck suspects that the killings are being caused by a mythical creature known as the Vorvon. When no one believes his story Buck steals aboard the death ship to find evidence of his theory. What he finds is a terrifying band of half-living, half-dead men who are ready to attack. Back at the station, Wilma finds that she cannot resist the Vorvon's life-draining powers. Will this "space vampire" prove to be too powerful for the bold explorers?

As time runs out inside a special hour glass built by the unknown adversary, Buck summons up the memories of his greatest triumphs and recalls the beautiful women he has encountered in his many travels.
