A so-so episode with a vaguely Star-Trekky feel. While on an away mission, oops - I mean - while exploring a strange planet, Buck and Hawk discover an even stranger box. When they bring the box aboard the Searcher, everything gets weird. The strongest parts of the episode are probably the "dream sequences" when various members of the crew suffer delusions. But the ending - where a committee of super aliens in robes show up, a la the Organians or the Metrons, to arbitrate the matters at hand and set the universe back to normal - has been done a few times too many. So, no, I'm not one of those fans looking for the green box prop on eBay. Sub par - two stars. Of course, this all begs the question - of all the episodes of the second season of Buck Rogers, why was this the only one selected for home video distribution in the United States?

This episode, like Oasis, for some reason, is really watchable? The most horrible acting, and hilarious part of this episode is when Lee Kelso (paul carr, a star trek alum) thinks his 'fiance' Deidre is dead at this space station and yells out and panics. He totally overacts like a real weenie. It's priceless! The box is never explained to my satisfaction and the episode has some strange elements: Wilma blinded and forced to look like Ray Charles for a while? hmmmm Still, for some reason, I like this episode? I'm not sure why? It's like Candy Corn on Halloween, tastes just so-so but you keep going back for more?
